San Diego has some of the best zoos, aquariums and natural preserves in the country and when we went fur a summer vacation we made sure to take advantage and explore. During our visit we stopped at the San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld, the shores of La Jolla, Torrey Pines State Reserve and Cabrillo National Monument.  Here are a few reasons to visit the animals in San Diego…

The variety of animals that you can see at each destination is incredible and will be fun for every age.  We have gone to Southern California quite a few times and each experience is unique and adventurous.  The panda exhibit at the Zoo is one of our favorites and usually cycle through 2 or 3 times when we visit.  While the zoos are world class, what you can find in nature is just as amazing.  Hiking in Torrey Pines is incredibly scenic and the tide pools at Cabrillo National Monument are fun to explore for unique sea creatures in the wild.  And you cannot miss strolling the shores of La Jolla where seals and sea lions live to see these playful animals.  So if you are an animal lover make your next trip to Southern California.
