Li-Beer-ty in Asheville, NC! 6 Breweries You Have To Try
Tucked in the mountains of North Carolina lies the increasingly popular beer mecca of Asheville. Within the confines of the city are 6 wonderful breweries, all within walking distance of the city center. Locals claim it is the water that brings about the incredible taste (which is part of the reason Sierra Nevada and New Belgium are slated to open breweries in the area), but whatever the reason experience these 6 breweries for yourself in Asheville, North Carolina!
1. Twin Leaf
Excellent beer at this brewery with tasty Tripels and… well everything was amazing at this brewery. We made two visits here and you should too!
2. Burial Beer Co
Small batch “Nano-Brewery” offering up very limited quantity brews that were very good. Great atmosphere and we really enjoyed this stop.
3. Hi Wire Brewing Co
The beer is good and the atmosphere is lively, making for a great time.
4. Wicked Weed
The most lively of the breweries with the best food options… plan to grab some grub here in addition to enjoying some tasty beers. UPDATE – Anheuser-Busch InBev purchased Wicked Wolf in 2017, so no longer an independent craft brewery. Will this impact their beer quality?
5. Green Man Brewery
The beer was ok and the attitude inside was not appreciated.
6. Asheville Brewing Co (ABC Brewery)
The beer was not very good, but they definitely offered the most unique creations we experienced in Asheville. Spicy jalapeno ale was the best of the bunch.
